I've been so excited for this spot to open. I came here for breakfast with my family and we all loved it. Small, family owned business, everything made in house. Food was excellent. My kids loved it too. We don't have enough spots like this in Lake Forest - come out and support them!

Calf & Chick in Lake Forest has become one of our favorite places to eat. The food is consistently fresh, flavorful, and well-prepared every time we visit. The portions are generous and offer great value for the price, which we really appreciate. Whether we dine in or take our food to go, the quality is always excellent. The atmosphere is welcoming, and the staff is friendly. A special thank you to Rami—he’s always courteous, smiling, and truly makes the experience even better. Great place for a quick and healthy dinner. The chicken wrap, aka Tawook Wrap, was very flavorful. Also shared a Greek Salad which was healthy and light. The restaurant is clean and cool, so a light jacket is helpful. Plenty of seating as this is a hidden gem. Parking looked limited and could be a challenge, although we had a front row spot. Costs are affordable and the restaurant offered a BOGO.
I was in Lake Forest yesterday and searched for halal food, and Google recommended this spot. It wasn’t far, so we decided to stop by. From the start, the service was amazing.. the young Mexican lady who helped us was super friendly and guided us through the menu. I ordered a chicken sandwich and a kids’ chicken strips meal for my little brother. While waiting, we couldn’t help but admire the aesthetics of the restaurant, it’s beautifully kept and incredibly clean. You can tell the owner cares about the details and values cleanliness, which is rare to see at this level. When our food arrived, we were pleasantly surprised by the portion sizes (very generous! ) The food itself was delicious, perfectly seasoned, and satisfying. Everything from the service to the food to the atmosphere was spot on. Thank you for serving us, we’ll definitely be back and try different items on the menu.
The establishment is has a very clean and cozy atmosphere. It was pretty empty when I went but I can see myself going and dinning in next time. The kabob plates did the job.
Came to Calf and Chick in Lake Forest with a big group right after church and this was actually my pick from Yelp, so I was hoping it would hit. The guy at the front was great and put us onto something not even on the menu called the Half and Half Plate, and that ended up being the move. This thing was a fat full plate. It came with a Lamb Kebab, Chicken, a big scoop of Garlic Sauce, Hummus with Pita, a large portion of Rice, and a Salad. Just a ton of food and honestly really good. The Chicken was extremely moist with great seasoning, and the Lamb was super tender, juicy, and cooked perfectly. I only had a few bites of it but it was very, very solid. For the price and portion size, it was definitely worth it. Everyone else had a pretty good experience too. Some people got the Garlic Chicken Sub and said it was very yummy. Someone else got the Sunrise Sandwich and said the scrambled eggs were really good and wouldn’t change anything. Another person got the Roast Beef Sandwich and said it was okay, the beef was a little dry and the sandwich could have been warmer, but still not bad overall. For me, if I am looking for a solid Mediterranean spot with a big, filling meal, I would definitely come back here for the Half and Half Plate. Great value, great portions, and really good service especially handling a group of around 12 people without any issues.
